How To Create Voiceovers For a Movie Clip All By Yourself
More tips
Creating good creative voiceovers can be fast, easy and fun with AV Voice Changer Software
By Jimmy Tiep
Creating voiceovers plays an essential part in making a
movie clip.
If you do it the traditional way, you'll need voiceover
talents and a recording studio.

Even the most versatile voiceover talent can play no more
than 3 roles, so if there are many characters in your movie,
you'll need more than one talent.
Then you'll need to book a studio for at least a couple of
hours. You'll also have to work with the studio technician
in order to record and modify the voices.
Now imagine doing without voiceover talents and the
recording studio. AV Voice Changer Software Diamond 5.0 helps you to
do it all. Here's how:
1> Pick your nickvoices. They will be your voiceover
talents. Remember that you can always go to http://www.audio4fun.com/nickvoices-effects.htm for more
choices. You can also create new nickvoices yourself by
using the pitch/timbre table, and the equalizer filters.
2> Check your microphone for volume level and position;
place the microphone a little to one side of your mouth to
avoid "popping". The more time you spend perfecting your
recording setup, the better the outcome will be. You can
choose a different equalizer through the preset. You can
also make more sophisticated manipulations with tools like
formant morpher, frequency morpher, noise limiter and
effects. Don't underestimate your potentials as a recording
technician!
3> Turn on the recorder and player modules. Check the output
file address. Press record and make your first take! Try to
do several takes for each line, with Duplex on so that you
can hear what your morphed voice sounds like. Then, when you
are satisfied with the settings, turn Duplex off and make
your actual recording.
4> Use the player to play back the recorded takes and pick
the best one! To set up for the next character, change the
nickvoice, reset the filters and effects, turn on duplex and
start to record your next character voice!
